To help you as a guardian to get involved and so that we can describe the preschool’s activities, we have chosen to have various meeting forums and information channels.
The daily encounter, when children are delivered and collected, is important to us. It is an opportunity for a dialogue to collaborate around the child’s well-being, development and learning at preschool. Children are encouraged to speak for themselves to explain and show with the support of teaching staff, who are available if needed.
We offer development appraisals twice every academic year. When a child has just started at preschool, we follow up with a settling-in discussion.
Our digital platform provides guardians with ongoing updates about your child’s development and learning in images and text. This information forms the basis of the development appraisals.
We also use Mitt Pysslingen to send out monthly newsletters with information about what the department has done during the previous period and what is planned for the future. The preschool’s management team also sends out a newsletter every month with current information relating to the preschool.
The Parents’ Council is a forum in which the preschool invites all guardians to get involved in the preschool’s development. We present plans, ideas and new features, and discuss matters that concern the whole preschool. We also raise topical issues and thoughts about education, and provide information about our systematic work on quality.
Every year, guardians are asked to respond to a survey about how you perceive the preschool’s activities. This is an important tool for our development, and we always follow up and analyse our results.
